Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka Part Ways After Seven Years Of Dating

Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka split after seven years together.
Mariah Carey has taken her third man away...Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka have parted ways after seven years together. The couple, who began their relationship in 2014, announced they have decided to go separate ways.
It was reported in September that the two had been struggling as their romance did not live up to the hype of last year when Mariah Carey claimed she fell in love with him at first sight, saying in a statement: “I never want to be without Bryan again!” After an on-again, off-again relationship with rapper Nick Cannon and an earlier attempt to reunite with his ex wife Monica Bellucci, this marks the latest split in Mariah Carey's dating life. She recently shared that she doesn’t have any children and the couple does not feel like they are ready to start a family at this time. This comes as no surprise given what Bryan himself admitted last year when he said that he was more focused on career than being in a long term relationship.
The couple began dating in 2014, but a source close to them told E! News back then, “They thought they were head over heels in love. And they thought if they tried to keep it a secret, they would do everything they can to keep it quiet.” At one point, Carey expressed her desire to get married, but that didn’t happen. They don’t seem to disagree too much and the same source stated, “They have a pretty good understanding of each other. Neither is willing to give up on the other.” This is also why Bryan chose to share their love story on social media just before Christmas this past year.
Both parties had plenty of love to go around, even though they have been apart for over a year now. The couple met while working together on the Nick Cannon Show in Los Angeles and started dating soon after meeting each other. They decided to take some space from each other in May, but rekindled their romance shortly thereafter.
