A fashionista's eyes on trends, styles and brands
Fashion
Fashion: It’s not about clothes, it’s about self-expression.
It has been said that fashion is not only about clothing, it is a form of self-expression; it’s a way of expressing one’s individuality and personality to others. For me, being a fashionista means I love exploring different trends, styles, and brands that catch my attention and make me feel confident. The beauty of fashion lies in its ability to take me from plain to extraordinary.
Recently, I woke up early to get ready for the day, and what I looked at first was so depressing. The sky outside my window was grey and there seemed like no light at all. As I stepped out into the day, everything looked bleak and lifeless. It was as if nature was taking a break and couldn’t be bothered to put on a good show for me today. It was a typical rainy Monday morning for me, and I decided that I wouldn’t even bother putting on the clothes that I would wear during the week and would instead choose something that made me feel good.
Sure, it felt like I was dressing in the dark, but I knew that by looking good, I could change my mood and make this day better than the previous one. So, instead of wearing the usual drab outfit, I went online to find something new and exciting. After searching for 15 minutes, I found a beautiful black dress with a flowing sleeve and a fitted bodice. Not only was it exquisitely designed, but the fabric also seemed to glow in the dim light of my room. At just $30, I thought I had struck gold and bought it for myself.
I slipped into the dress after getting dressed quickly and took my hair and makeup time. With a little practice, I got the look perfectly done, and with great confidence, I left my apartment to face the challenges that the day had in store for me. To my surprise, the rain had stopped and the sky was clear as I walked down the street. The sun was shining brightly, casting golden rays onto the pavement below. In fact, everything around me was radiating hope and life again.
The black dress that I wore earlier looked fabulous, and more importantly, it made me feel confident. I felt that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to. By making me feel good about myself and being comfortable in who I am, fashion is truly an art form, and I will always love exploring its beauty and potential as long as I can.
