Pakistan, is one of the most populated countries on Earth and is among the least equipped with effective law enforcement systems to secure national security. The latest case relating to this is that of two prominent politicians, Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who were taken to the court of Supreme Court of Pakistan for passing around three hundred-thousand dollars to each other via cell phones. The first information got revealed by Fawad Chaudhry and Ali Azmat, who later revealed that money was being transferred from Imran's personal account to Shah's account without his knowledge using cryptographic technology. The investigation on the matter was initiated by the Anti Corruption Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency, Liaquat Muhammad Butt.
In order to gather evidence, the investigators started their inquiries and searches against the persons concerned, however, neither of them confessed nor cooperated with the investigations. Although Imran Khan and his son Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto were booked under relevant laws, due to lack of any concrete information or sufficient proofs, both were sent back to their homes on conditions of giving bail. On the same day when Imran Khan's lawyer filed a petition before the High Court asking for release of both of them, they were released on bail.
